Youth Worker Training Scheme

This scheme provides small grants to help with youth workers' training needs.

A youth worker is someone who helps young people transition to adulthood. This mahi is about the wellbeing of young people and includes both paid or unpaid mahi.

The intended outcomes of the Youth Worker Training Scheme are:

  • effective and capable youth workers
  • valued youth workers
  • well-functioning programmes and projects targeted towards young people
  • networked and capable groups supporting young people.
