Sustainable Food & Fibre Futures (SFF Futures)

If you have an initiative that could make a difference to New Zealand’s food and fibre sectors, it could be eligible for funding. On a co-investment basis, SFF Futures help with support at any level, from small grassroots community projects to large-scale industry development.

This fund is open for applications now.

SFF Futures supports innovative projects that will create more value from the food and fibre industries. It funds transformative programmes to:

create more value
develop capability and new practices, and
deliver long-lasting economic, social, cultural and environmental benefits.

These projects could be about:

developing new products or services
creating new jobs
increasing skills and capability, or
encouraging better collaboration and information sharing.

They can range from small, one-off initiatives requiring a small grant, to long-running, multi-million-dollar partnerships.

Criteria

To be eligible for SFF Futures funding, your project must:

relate to an eligible sector or industry
provide sustainable benefits to New Zealand
go beyond “business as usual”
be co-funded
be consistent with New Zealand's international obligations and trade policies.
