This initiative helps employers with funding and on-the-job support for new staff.

This initiative is open for applications now.

Mana in Mahi can help you:

  • make a difference for young people so they get the training and careers they deserve
  • kick start a young person's career and get support and subsidies along the way
  • develop well-skilled, knowledgeable people for your business
  • build your business and a better future for our young people.

They will help you with funding and support to recruit, train and keep employees engaged.

Criteria

Who can take part:

To take part in Mana in Mahi, your business needs to:

  • have a permanent full-time or part-time position you want to fill
  • be offering at least the adult minimum wage
  • commit to supporting your new employee on a relevant NZQA-approved industry training pathway.

The person you're employing also needs to be eligible for Mana in Mahi.
