He Poutama Rangatahi | Youth Employment Pathways

Administered by Provincial Development Unit | Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment (MBIE)

This initiative aims to enable higher living standards and improved social outcomes in our regional communities. He Poutama Rangatahi (HPR) supports rangatahi aged 15-24 who are at risk of long-term unemployment and who aren't in education, employment or training.

The fund is open for applications now.

Sustained employment makes a real difference in the lives of rangatahi who aren’t currently earning or learning. It sets them on a path of long-term employment which will deliver benefits for entire communities.

Through supporting local businesses and organisations, this initiative helps deliver sustained employment outcomes. HPR also supports employers who need specialised employment support matched to the needs of rangatahi.

Proposals must target rangatahi aged 15-24 who are at risk of long-term unemployment.
